Transformational coaching.

I’m a practicing GP and life coach and I believe that life is to be lived and loved.

After years of living with a chronic physical health condition, increasing work pressures, and an unrecognised eating disorder, I finally crashed and burned. I’d spent so long during those years trying to ‘fix’ myself, embracing a range of self-help strategies, accessing CBT (cognitive behavioural therapy), and even medication. Some things helped some of the time, but I still felt a need to be ‘fixed’. And eventually I burnt out.

This gave me the time and space to not only regain my physical health but to reflect on what was really important to me, and to see a different way of being. Without needing to be ‘fixed’.

Being coached during this time opened me up to new insights, challenged me out of my comfort zones and comfortable but limiting beliefs, and encouraged me to know myself on a deeper level. I experienced a real transformation in my life, and coming from this place of energy, openness and compassion I would love to give you the opportunity for insight and change too.

Your journey.

Everyone’s journey is different, and the coaching you receive will reflect this. I approach every conversation we have with openness to whatever comes up. I may use specific coaching models or tools if I feel they may enhance our discussion but do not follow a rigid plan.

A helpful process can include: visualising your ideal self; honestly evaluating your real self – strengths, weakness, values, beliefs, stories; developing a plan – leveraging strengths, changing the stories; practicing and perfecting.

I provide a complimentary introductory session where we explore the areas you are looking for transformation in, and discuss how I can help.

Focus – 90 minute deep dive £125

A one-off coaching conversation to help you focus on what’s important to you and make a plan of action for a specific situation.

Be You – 12 week life coaching programme £520

6 x 60 minute coaching conversations where you are supported in visualising your ideal self, recognising the strengths you already have, overcoming the challenges that can get in the way, and practicing the changes identified to bring your current self into alignment with the ideal.

Pay as You Go – £95

Book weekly, fortnightly, or monthly on an ad hoc basis. 60 minute coaching conversations focused on where you’re at and what you want to achieve.

Areas for change.

I work with people who are looking for more than they are currently achieving by themselves
01. Health and Wellbeing.

Would you like to feel fitter, sleep better, eat healthily, find time for exercise that you actually enjoy doing? Together we can work out what’s holding you back, what’s motivating you, and what is going to reconnect you to your innate wellbeing.

02. Life balance.

Would you like to work less? Work more? Play more? Enjoy your leisure time? Feel fulfilled? Together we can explore what your ideal life looks like and how you can move towards that ideal, while loving where you are now.

03. Burnout.

Do you find yourself dreading the thought of work? Feeling that you cannot cope? Or feeling that you do not even care? Together we can explore how to reconnect, maintain or regain your health, and rekindle your enthusiasm and joy for work (either in your current role or in discovering a new role) and life.

04. Imposter Syndrome.

Ever feel like you’re about to be ‘found out’? Or doubted your competence? Together we can discover (or re-discover) your self-belief.

I am not going to give you yet another list of things to do, I am going to help you see that you are already enough as you are.

Coaching with me…

“Emma put me at ease and we quickly established trust and rapport. Emma supported, encouraged and challenged me and gave me time and space to explore some of the issues holding me back.

I would highly recommend Emma to anyone looking for a professional coach.”

Rod Pearson, Business Manager

“Emma was instrumental in helping me structure my goals and priorities and identify some clear next steps. Striking the right balance between challenging and supporting Emma really got me to question my own assumptions and reach a deeper level of self-awareness.

She helped me unpick mental obstacles I’d unwittingly placed in my own path, and ultimately give myself permission to take a bold step and be happy. I’m positive and clear about the future.”

Phil Entwistle

“Emma is a great coach; she was professional, empathetic and I felt she really understood my concerns. She has helped me to move forward in several areas where I previously felt stuck.”

Sue Lockyear, GP

“Emma is a great coach, honestly she helped me to learn to think about things from different perspectives and value what I want and do what I like or what I think is better for me and not to be influenced by cultural impacts on my life decisions. Her sessions were really friendly and I was very comfortable in talking and sharing experience without any feeling of being judged or guided. I am really grateful for her as following the sessions I feel like I know better what I want to do and I feel I have more resilience in coping with stressful situations. ”

Dr Osama Hassan

“Anyone who is struggling with what life throws at us day to day should tap into the expertise of Emma. Her reflection skills and ability to consider different perspectives for her clients takes you on an immense journey in which you learn to find a new way of living, and can breathe and see the true light of how your individual behaviours affect yourself and those around you.
Emma is truly one of those people that you can trust to help you reflect, reassess, and re-evaluate your own behaviours, making you realise that you can have balance.”

Donna Devereaux, ANP

“I’ve always know that my poor self-confidence and perfectionist tendencies have held me back and led to poor physical and mental wellbeing. Through the coaching sessions I have had with Emma, her compassionate kind approach has helped me challenge negative thoughts and experiences so that I feel at greater peace during my home and working life.”
